Temporary contract work, by moving away from standard and traditional approaches, has brought flexibility to the labor market. The purpose of this study is to examine the experiences of temporary contract work in the member states of the European Union and Iran. This research is a qualitative research. In the first step, the research population was all global documents and reports on the subject under review, and sampling was carried out using a purposive non-probability method. Reliability calculation in this section was confirmed using Holst coefficient of 0.9 and its validity was also confirmed. In this section, content analysis method and qualitative data analysis software were used to analyze the data. In the next step, using George Brady's comparative study model, a comparative study and investigation of temporary contracting work was conducted in selected countries. The findings of the study showed that temporary contracting work in the administrative system has relevant legal frameworks, licensing requirements, specific activity or service criteria, contract duration criteria and renewal rates, as well as equal treatment of the workforce. Finally, by comparing the selected countries, it was found that not only is there a large gap between temporary contracting work in Iran and the EU member states, but this style of employment in Iran has actually deviated from the desired situation. Accordingly, by understanding temporary contracting work and its challenges in Iran, it is possible to use international documents and the experience of successful countries to apply the correct method of its implementation in the country.
