Abstract
Cultural influence, as a form of soft power and a behavioral model of US foreign policy, has exposed target countries, including Iran, to cultural changes in recent years; changes that have confronted the young and educated generation with identity and cultural challenges. Based on this necessity, the main question of the article is: what model did the US rely on to create cultural influence in Iran during the years 1392 to 1400 and what strategy can the Islamic Republic use to counter it? The hypothesis is that in the years 1392 to 1400, the US sought to legitimize Western liberal norms and delegitimize the structure in Iran by utilizing universal media tools in order to consolidate its cultural influence. Therefore, it is essential for the Islamic Republic to also put national cultural imagery on its agenda. The aim of the article is to identify the areas of US cultural influence in Iran and prescribe a strategy to counter it. Achieving this goal requires the use of data analysis and the application of descriptive-analytical research methods of quantitative and qualitative data. Huntington's theory of the clash of civilizations provides the necessary explanatory foundations in this field.
