Strategies affecting value chain structure in the Iranian film industry

Considering the current situation of Iranian cinema and also the important potentials of the cinema industry in various fields from employment to creating economic added value and cultural norm and its indirect effects on the consumption of domestic productions, etc. this necessity is felt. Therefore, the present study aims to provide effective strategies on the value chain structure in the Iranian cinema industry and a qualitative research method., The foundation data method was performed. The statistical population included all experts in the field of cinema economics, university professors, producers, etc. Research sampling method is theoretical sampling method. In this study, 15 experts were interviewed. In-depth and unstructured interview method was used to collect information. Data were analyzed by collecting, coding and analyzing the collected data. Data analysis and coding has been done through open coding, axial coding and selective coding. In order to validate the research data, four Gaba and Lincoln (1989) validity indices have been used. Some of the strategies presented in the research include the need to allocate resources and costs in accordance with cultural goals in the cinema value chain economy, the need for indirect and regular government intervention in the cinema economy, the need to transfer activities in the field of value chain to the private sector, prevent discrimination in Enforcement of protectionist laws, non-support or unprofessional and slogan-like support of the government, the need for specialized management in economics and culture in the field of supply and demand, etc.
