Abstract
Determining the appropriate and optimal size of a legislative assembly is one of the important issues in democratic representative systems, which is always considered one of the fundamental challenges facing thinkers and legislators in political systems around the world, and despite many efforts and the introduction of different models in this field, until now No specific criteria and rules, standard and accepted by all experts have been provided.Therefore, the main goal of this research is to examine global patterns and experiences in the field of determining the optimal number of seats in the parliament, so that a suitable model for determining the number of representatives of the Islamic Council is provided to policy makers.Based on this, the main question of the current research is, according to global patterns and experiences, what is the appropriate and optimal number of representative seats in the Islamic Council?The research method in the current study is qualitative in terms of the development goal and in terms of the nature of the research, which was done using the document analysis method.According to the findings, the meetings of the Islamic Council are encouraged on the basis of the law, on the basis of the third, and to the active and active population of the country, 438 and 386, and on the basis of the process of generalizations, and of the entire, active population, 447 and 388.
