Small countries bordering the Persian Gulf try to increase their territory by building artificial islands and they spare no effort for it. These efforts include building residential, commercial and economic islands. This extensive expansion of territories by UAE can lengthen the determination process of Iranian sea borders. Moreover, it will darken the relationship of two countries and cause intervention of trans-regional countries in the Persian Gulf's bordering countries. <br />On the other hand, construction of such islands can destroy unique types of sea species and obscure and mud water and relocate sediments along the shore. Above all, negative economic consequences should also be noted that will have negative effects on the economy of Iran. This research has focused on devastating effects of constructing such islands, especially on Persian Gulf’s fragile environment, and possible problems of their construction regarding the borders partition, since UAE’s borderlines in Persian Gulf are indeterminate. امارات متحده عربی با ساخت جزایر مصنوعی متعدد در خلیج‌فارس موجب برانگیختن حساسیت‌های فراوانی ازسوی کشورهای منطقه به خصوص ایران شده است. کشورهای کوچک حاشیه خلیج‌فارس سعی بر آن دارند تا با ساخت جزایر مسکونی، تجاری و اقتصادی مصنوعی اراضی تحت مالکیت خود را افزایش دهند و در این راه از هیچ کوششی دریغ نمی‌کنند. یافته‌های این پژوهش بیانگر آن است که قلمرو‌سازی وسیع امارات با چنین سرعتی از یک‌سو می‌تواند باعث طولانی شدن روند تعیین مرزهای دریایی ایران و تیرگی روابط دو کشور و دخالت کشورهای فرامنطقه‌ای در حاشیه خلیج‌فارس شود و ازسوی دیگر ساخت این جزایر موجب نابودی گونه‌های بی‌نظیر و کم‌نظیر موجودات دریایی و تیرگی و گل‌آلود شدن آب و جابه‌جایی رسوبات کنار ساحل شده است. علاوه‌بر موارد ذکرشده پیامدهای منفی اقتصادی را باید عنوان کرد که آثار منفی بر اقتصاد ایران خواهد داشت. در این پژوهش به بررسی حقوقی آثار مخرب ساخت این جزایر به‌ویژه بر محیط زیست شکننده خلیج‌فارس و مشکلات احتمالی تأسیس جزایر مصنوعی در زمینه افراز مرزها با توجه به عدم تعیین خطوط مرزی امارات در خلیج‌فارس پرداخته خواهد شد. <br /><br /> https://nashr.majles.ir/article_119_07e1cd7dca89a1678042477183b7ac3f.pdf
